The Mine Canary - Ivan Moult

Little My's NinthBubblewrap Records are proud to present the debut EP from Cardiff-based, singer songwriter Ivan Moult.

Ivan has made quite an impression on live music fans in his adopted city in recent months, gaining attention from BBC Radio Wales DJs and Radio 6 new music champion Tom Robinson along the way.

The Mine Canary EP captures the world weary ache that flows through Ivan’s songs, delivered with a trademark vocal tenderness that demonstrates an intriguing maturity and intelligence of a young man finding his own way in the world.
The 5 tracks showcase a mouth watering talent, at home in gentle textures and thought provoking lyrics.

Various Artists - 12 Days of Christmas

12 Days of Christmas12 Days of Christmas is a collection of exclusive Yule-Tide Winter Warmers from the likes of The Loves, Little My, Them Squirrels, Brontosaurus Chorus, The Rocky Nest, Sweet Baboo, Allo, Darlin’, Speedmarket Avenue, The Bobby McGee’s, Silence at Sea, Lucky Delucci & The School

The twelve bands involved were hand-picked by Richard Chitty (The School, Lucky Delucci, Little My) and Harri Davidson (The School, Little My), and were given 31 days to write and record a Christmas song incorporating one of the Twelve Days of Christmas. From a partridge in a pear tree to drummers drumming, each band has brought their own artistic style to create a fruitful spectrum of genres ranging from indie pop to folk to tweepop.

Drawing from nostalgic memories of Christmas time spent as a child; the warm fuzzy feeling of roasting chestnuts on an open fire, hearing Phil Spector’s ’A Gift For Christmas’ crackling on an old record player and singing carols gathered around a grand piano (ok, maybe not that picturesque). 12 Days of Christmas aims to bring that childish excitement of surprise such as the next present to open, families and friends coming together or the distant sound of sleigh bells. To hear exclusive festive songs in a range of moods and styles from up and coming indie artists, is sure to be Christmas present arrived early!

This is the second release from Bubblewrap Records (in collaboration with Businessman Records) in a limited run of 500 copies. It is available from all the bands involved as well as both record labels’ websites. Digital downloads will be available from itunes and other popular digital download websites.

Lucky Delucci - Young in Summer E.P

12 Days of Christmas‘Young In Summer’ is Lucky Delucci's debut EP, an inevitably out-of-season wonder of touching lyrics, swaying melodies and wondrously-crafted three-part vocal harmonies.

• Leading track 'Tears Fall to the Floor' is an affectionate whirl of wistful lyricism where Dylan Thomas meets Hermann Hesse in a Peanuts comic;
• 'Simon Said' its playful brother in crime follows, in an insanely catchy and a beautiful manner - a lyrical dreamer's paean, where the glockenspiel plays like a kid in the sand.
• 'House of the Lost Souls' is a music-box intrigue that twists through a spooky, scooby haven with the sweetest inkling of lost loves;
• 'Fingers, Thumbs and Toes' is an affecting nugget where all cliched notions of twee fall to the floor;
• 'The Room That Never Sleeps' is a final slip-sliding slice from this most emotionally intricate of Never-Never lands that the band roams.

Lucky Delucci have this beguiling kind of dissatisfaction, and while most twee bands seem to happily express it by fooling around, they craft from it a kind of musical intricacy to be treasured. ‘Young in Summer’ is the sound of a band on a genuine quest for truth and beauty, a band who've just happened to stumble upon it in some of the best, most sacred Pop songs you'll hear all year. If you like music, melodies and Pop in its dreamiest, most affectionately lyrical form, then Lucky Delucci are most certainly for you
